Long stories short: How I made a "VR" stereoscopic 3D SBS (side-by-side) movie from pictures and videos taken with a Fuji FinePix REAL 3D W3. The article contains more or less reproducible steps, also as a reminder for myself when I try the same thing next time.
While moving some legacy web apps from a real Windows server (headed for retirement, to be somewhat euphemestic about it) to a virtual machine, I encountered the need to make back-ups of this whole VM - for the sake of simplicity, copying / compressing the whole disk images and the virtual machine definition file. Now here comes the issue: Churn on the VDI hard disk causes it to become bigger than necessary, and now I'm trying to reduce it back to the max.

2015 was a rather eventful year, for my standards at least. There was another impressive concert with The Melodetts, featuring a quartet three + me singers performing "Caravan of Love", which was of course especially thrilling for the four of us. I've also produced an audio recording of the event; and part of it has been published for the first time: "Innsbruck, ich muss dich lassen".
