MOOCs (and online courses in general)

What do they do - beyond or different from what the Carl Benz Academy has been doing so far?

• Ask for a few words / the core expectations for a course and generate a tag cloud from it (seen at edX, vocal recording course by Berklee)
• Promote a text book and give shopping links for different countries, different editions (audible, etc.) (seen at coursera, "Learning How to Learn" course by UC San Diego)
• Have a dedicated Facebook page and a Twitter account AND a (Twitter?) hashtag for the course.
• Provide an impressively extensive amount of video lectures; and combine them with interleaved quizzes checking if you got the basic concepts / ideas. (seen at coursera, "Cloud Computing Concepts" by Indranil Gupta / University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign)
